Yin yoga targets the deep connective tissues and the fascia that covers the body. Yin Yoga postures are more passive postures typically held for 3-5 minutes, mainly on the floor. Yin offers a much deeper access to the body. The time spent in these postures is much like time spent in meditation and can help regulate the flow of energy in the body. This practice of yoga requires students to be ready to get intimate with the self, with feelings, sensations, and emotions.
