Service Description
From the time we were small, we were taught that sweetness had to be earned. That enjoyment was a reward, not a birthright. That the body was something to manage rather than something to inhabit. We were not taught that we are both wild and holy. We will step onto that path now. This moon is double exalted, the moon in her own sign of exaltation and the host Jupiter, in his. The sky is genuinely fertile right now. It falls conjunct a fixed star long associated with the severed head of Medusa, asking us to be fully aware of the complexity that is being a woman. This lunation is not asking us to choose between the tenderness and the wildness of that. In this circle we will celebrate and hold all of it with reverence. You are not here to earn anything. You are here to be celebrated, honored, held, and supported completely. By yourself. By this community. By the complexity of our cosmos. Cacao has been used ceremonially for thousands of years as a heart opening medicine. She is gentle and she is real. She increases blood flow to the heart, softens the nervous system, and creates a natural openness that makes breathwork, movement, and meditation land more deeply than they might otherwise. She does not take you anywhere you are not ready to go. She simply makes the door a little easier to walk through. For a moon that is asking us to receive, to soften, and to feel the full complexity of what we carry as women, cacao is the right medicine. The cacao I work with is responsibility sourced from the Amazon and I support natives directly with my purchase. What to expect: Breathwork, gentle movement, and voice work Ceremonial cacao A reading of the current sky and what this lunation and season are asking of us Reflective journal prompts Optional communal sharing Guided meditation Bring one flower or natural object from home for our shared altar. You are welcome to bring a drum or other ceremonial instrument.
